Vintage Wedding Make-Up

vintage_brideVintage and Retro Wedding Make-Up all the rage!

Mallory Court Hotel, near Leamington Spa, is one of my favourite venues in Warwickshire. Its great for weddings, romantic getaways and family occasions alike and the beautiful gardens make it a very special place.

I recently did a vintage style wedding make-up look for a bride.

Taking full advantage of the fantastic grounds for the photos. Vintage and retro weddings and parties are super popular at the moment but what does it really mean for your wedding make-up?

Well, its about deciding on the era from which the wedding make-up will take its theme.

Is it the 50’s with those black liner flicks and red lips? Or the 60’s with Twiggy eyelashes or the dancing queen of the 70’s? My favourite is the 1920’s flapper with the dark eyes and cupids bow lips!

A professional wedding make-up artist will know the iconic looks of the decades and will be able to give each a contemporary twist using modern day products and techniques. This is important because were not going to a fancy dress party but a stylish wedding!

I’m part of a fabulous collective of Warwickshire wedding suppliers called the “Vintage Wedding Belles” who provide a pick and mix of services – its the only team you need to make your wedding pure vintage.
