Winter Wedding Make-Up

Winter weddings have so much to offer! The drama of nature, luxurious fabrics, traditional touches and the festive spirit!

My winter wedding make-up takes its lead from nature with its strong evergreens, rich berries, snowy white and frosty sparkle.

When you are planning your make-up think about the light – the sun will be weak and short days will mean that some or possibly all of your photographs will be taken indoors. The way to reflect this in your make-up is to do an Evening Make-Up look with a pop of freshness navigate to this web-site.Wedding Make-Up 2

Unless you have a darker skin tone or keep a tan all year, leave the skin pale with a fresh blusher in pink or coral. Avoid brown tones including bronzers which can look muddy and artificial at this time of year.

Sweep a sparkle of silver or gold shadow across the eyelid and lightly contour with a charcoal shade. Define eyes well with Bobbi Brown’s espresso, forest or graphite gel liner and use black mascara, concentrating the liner and mascara on the upper lid. False lashes are fabulous with this look and you can really sparkle with added diamante.

Use your eye shadow to add a little sparkle to your decolletage and cheek bones. I love NARS Duo Eyeshadow in Windstar.

Strong lips in rich berry shades will complement the dark reds, pinks, whites and greens of winter bouquets. Choose a moisturising lipstick with plenty of pigment and prepare well by using lip balm in the run up to the wedding. I like NARS Satin Lipstick in Afghan Red.

Have a wonderful winter wedding as a Simply Beautiful Bride…
